It was a great pleasure to film Jay Stapley's Hootenanny in Mersea Island. Jay is a renowned session musician, producer and mentor of young talent. His monthly Hootenanny gigs are a fixture in the Island calendar and guaranteed to draw an enthusiastic crowd of fans.

Jay organised a special 70's themed event to celebrate the life and music of the late, great David Bowie and invited a dazzling line up of special guests and local musicians to join him on stage for the opening number; an inspirational tour de force rendition of "Stairway to Heaven" featuring Jay on lead banjo!
